Rules
Got Horse Sense (GHS) is an online simulation/strategy game that can be played by people of all ages from all over the world. Players are asked to behave themselves appropriately when playing GHS and dealing with other players.
A "3 strikes" policy is in effect, if you break the rules once you'll be warned, a second time you'll be suspended from the site, a third time will get you a permanent ban.
• Players will conduct themselves in a courteous manner, no profanity/cussing/swearing/foul language will be tolerated. THINK before you respond to anything anyone says/posts on the game or on the message board
• Players will choose suitable names for themselves, their farm, their horses and will not use names that are of a sexual nature, or infringe on any trademark ™ copyright © or registered ® names taken from books, films, TV shows, comics, or graphic novels. Names of a religious type are also not allowed to avoid offence.
• No images are to be posted anywhere on the game, images for horse's profiles will be supplied in game, and are subject to applicable copyright © laws and as such cannot be used anywhere other than on GHS or it's message board, or any other support board.
• All content on a player's account must be game appropriate.
• GHS is English language (based in Europe), and use of other languages should be limited. Use of L33t, txt spk, or any other form of abbreviation will not be tolerated.
• GHS is subject to the whims of the Game Owner/Admin. She decides what the game consists of and what new content will be added.
• Threats made against anyone on GHS will be dealt with in the severest possible manner - up to and including informing law enforcement. It is possible for a technician to track down a player's general location (ie the town they live in), so don't think you can hide behind the "anonymity" of the internet!
• Because of the nature of the internet, player safety is a primary concern. Do not disclose personal information about yourself, while it is perfectly safe to use your real name, do not give out information about where you live, what school/college you attend, where you work, details about your spouse/family, any health/personal problems you are having. While every effort is made to protect vulnerable players from abuse from cyber bullies/stalkers the Game Owner/Admin cannot be held responsible for your personal safety offline or on other sites online.
• Do not give out/ask for information on your/other players MySpace/Facebook/Bebo/other social networking sites, or any way to contact them off line or away from GHS.
• Subscribing to an annual membership to GHS does not mean that you own the game, nor that you have the right to challenge the Game Owner/Admin about game content. While suggestions for additions to the game are welcomed, abuse isn't.
• You understand and accept that the internet is not infallible and is subject to technical problems, and that sites can be hacked by malicious computer users. As such the Game Owner/Admin is not responsible for loss of data due to hardware problems/crashes/hacks. In the event of a problem every effort will be made to get the game back online as quickly as possible. You understand and accept that a re-set of the game (ie all data cleared out) may be necessary.
• The playcash used in the game is called Simuros (simulated Euros) and is designated by a § symbol. It is not real money, and cannot be exchanged for real money, goods or services - other than items on GHS
The rules are subject to change at any time and you are advised to read them regularly to familiarise yourself with them.
